About Us
At Friedens United Church of Christ in Irvington, IL we love without judgement! No matter who you are or where you are on life’s journey…all are welcome in our church family. For over 125 years we have been spreading the love of Christ in Southern Illinois and throughout the world.
At Friedens we recognize that the Bible can be confusing at times…contradictory, cryptic, and may even cause us to disagree…and that is OK! We realize that our faith journeys are very personal and may bring individuals to varying beliefs. These individual faith journeys are what make our relationship with God meaningful and allow us to learn and share the abundant love of Jesus Christ.
Worship
Friedens enjoys an eclectic worship style which includes contemporary and traditional music along with other multimedia offerings.
Our worship gathering is currently at 10AM on Sunday morning. In order to protect the health of those in attendance we are practicing social distancing and ask that those in attendance wear a mask. If you are not comfortable joining us in person, we also offer our worship live on Facebook .
